Call of Duty has one of those fanbases that blindly purchase the game with every release, regardless of how terrible the gameplay is. Either that, or the people who buy it will hope that it will turn out like their earlier, much better games, only to be horribly disappointed.
Black Ops was the last game in the series I enjoyed, and probably only because I bought the DLC and relived the Zombies mode, which I first experienced in World at War. Didn't care much for the online after a while.
World at War was probably the best for me, both in terms of storyline and online. There was nothing better than sniping players below from the top of that church in Outskirts. And Nazi Zombies was epic.
Take care.
P.S. If you are talking about the other 'Cod' (as in fish), then I have wasted my time, haha.

Because some people still find it fun.
Though it is a rehash, it is still based on the original which was popular back then.
There are either new people seeing this for the first time trying it or a lot of fans who collects and loves them.
Next COD, there would probably would be covert ferrets and unicorns.

I mean, they recycled cinematics in ghosts, it's basically the same gameplay and the same graphics, and it still sells so much at the price of 70 €, Jesus Christ. I understand there's people who like it, but i just can't understand the amount of money they get with so little effort, it blows my mind
